Apple is about to launch several new products in another live streamed virtual event.
It’s hard to find an official indication of what’s about to launch: The invite only included a scenic view and the phrase “California streaming.”
But rumors suggest that the company is preparing to launch iPhone 13, Apple Watch Series 7 and new AirPods. Full details of what to expect in that new iPhone can be found here.
It’s long been rumored to be rolling out updates to the iPad and Mac lines, but they could be held up to another event next month.
The event begins at 10 p.m. local Pacific time, or 6 p.m. in the UK, and will be available to stream online – as well as cover, as it happens, below.
Just hours before the event began, Apple has released an urgent security update for all of its devices. The patch fixes a flaw that could allow capture on an iPhone, iPad or Mac – without requiring the user to do anything.

Even before the latest news, Apple has been busy with today’s event. A few weeks ago, it said it was delaying a plan to fight child abuse on its platforms by scanning images of a very public – and much criticized – image; A few days ago, a ruling was issued in its lawsuit against Epic, which Apple saw as a victory but still not entirely positive.
