Jamie Redknapp praises Harry Kane after Tottenham striker scored his first Premier League goal of the season.
Tottenham drew 1-1 with Newcastle at St James’s Park, after Kane latched on to a pass from Pierre-Emile Hojberg in the 22nd minute with a clean finish on Karl Darlow.
There was some uncertainty about whether the goal would be dismissed for offside, but it was allowed to stand after a VAR check.

Kane kept his side by defeating Karl Darlow in the 22nd minute
Kane was heavily criticized, with the generally prolific forward not scoring in his last six league matches this season.
However, Redknapp was keen to point out that, although Kane has struggled as of late for both club and country, there is no doubt about his potential.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Redknapp said: ‘Kane comes alive once he sees Hjberg get the ball and it’s a lovely finish, so delicate, so sweet.
‘It’s a delicious finish, just takes it on top of that. form is temporary class is permanent. Manquillo puts him to the side, it’s a great run.’

Kane was the subject of interest from Manchester City in the summer transfer window, but the move failed to materialize and there were suggestions that his dismal form was partly due to frustration at not making it to the Etihad Stadium.
However, the 28-year-old appeared to allay those concerns with his goal against Newcastle.
Before Sunday’s game, Kane scored the only goal for Tottenham this season in the Carabao Cup and Europa Conference League.
Kane will hope that after ending his wait for a league goal, he will be able to find the net in the top flight with regularity.
Last season, Kane scored 23 goals for Tottenham in the Premier League.
