The 27-year-old singer, who has emerged as a Lakers superfan in recent years, took seats in front of the court on Sunday to watch his beloved team face the Pistons. There was only one problem, literally, standing in Halsey’s way: Lakers coach Frank Vogel.
After a fan tweeted Halsey for slapping Vogel – presumably on the Lakers’ disappointing 11-11 season start – Pop Star Responds As for the message (which has since been removed for violating Twitter’s terms of service): “I wish too bad I promise.”
When another fan asked Halsey if he thought Vogel blocked his view on purpose, the singer—who tweeted about the Lakers His @halseyanddone account , replied, “Honestly I’ve considered it.”
Halsey’s mood eventually improved as the Lakers defeated the Pistons 110–106. Self proclaimed “good luck charm” Later posed in front of the court, double-fisting with a cup of red wine.
Earlier this month, Halsey joked that he should leave the song and join ESPN as an NBA broadcaster.
