After hosting the American Music Awards a day earlier, rapper Cardi B was due to go to trial in a strip club attack case in a Queens courtroom on Monday.


Cardi, whose real name is Belklis Almanzar, was charged with ordering an attack on two bartenders at the Angels Strip Club in Rego Park on August 29, 2018. Cardi allegedly threw a bottle at bartender Jade and Baddi G. He allegedly ordered her. Team up to attack the women with more bottles and chairs.

The assault was allegedly plotted by Cardi in retaliation for Jade’s affair with her husband, rapper Offset.

Cardi allegedly threatened Jade on Instagram and in person at an Atlanta hotel. In an earlier attack at the same club, Cardi’s associates were also accused of grabbing Jade’s hair, punching her, and hitting her with an ashtray.

He turned down a plea deal that would have convicted him of third-degree assault in exchange for conditional leave.

The 29-year-old rapper, who gave birth to her second child two months ago, shot to fame with the hit song “Bodak Yellow”.

On Sunday, she hosted the American Music Awards and also walked away from the Favorite Hip-Hop Song award for “Up.”
