Joshua tried to make a 12-round exit in September, but failed to outbox Usyk.

Just two weeks later, Fury dramatically knocked out Wilder in the 11th round of their epic trilogy match in Las Vegas.

AJ recently broke down the loss of the Bronze Bomber and cleverly put it down for the American approach.

But Fury cited Joshua’s own shortcomings against Usick, tweeting: “The irony of this mug.”

This comes as Joshua told JD Sports: “[Wilder] Tried, but to get that power and that toughness, you gotta keep it here [points to his head],

“Before you have this bus here [clenches fists] at that stage, you have to put it here [points to his head] Too.”

Joshua, 32, was in talks to fight Fury, 33, in an undisputed title match over the summer.

But the 36-year-old Wilder won his right in his contracted trilogy match with the unbeaten Brit, so AJ was mandated against Usyk.

Having lost, he has now invoked his right to an immediate rematch, meaning Fury’s hopes of a reunification are slim.

The Gypsy King and his American promoter have tried to urge AJ to step aside and instead allow him to face Usyk.

But with that nearly impossible, Fury fears that Joshua will lose the rematch with Usyak and that their fight will go up in smoke for good.

They told Boxing drop: “If Joshua goes in again and loses, which I think he will do, then that fight is dead in the water for me.

“But if he lets me fight Usyak and I overtake Usyak, I’ll come back and beat him too.”
