The rapper is accused of punching two people outside a New York hotel
G-Eazy has been arrested for assaulting two people outside a New York hotel, it is reported.
On Friday (September 10) an altercation reportedly broke out between three people outside The Standard Hotel in Manhattan.
According to Board, the rapper claimed to have punched both men in the face at around 1 am. None of the men were hospitalized because of the alleged incident, although they accused the star of “causing pain and redness”.
G-Eazy was arrested on Monday (Sept. 13), a day after attending the MTV VMAs in Brooklyn. Police told NBC That he was arrested on rape charges and later released after being given a ticket to appear in court. That date has not been disclosed.
The rapper has not publicly commented on the allegations at the time of writing. Granthshala Representatives of G-Eazy have been contacted for official comment.
He was previously arrested in 2018 for possession and use of narcotics, along with punching a security guard outside a club in Stockholm. G-Eazy pleaded guilty to those charges and was sentenced to probation.
Earlier this month, the rapper announced the details of his new album ‘This Things Happen To’. It will be the long-awaited sequel to their 2014 album ‘This Things Happen’.
“I know it’s been a long, long time..,” he said while sharing the trailer on social media. According to a press release, the album “will showcase Gee’s multi-faceted artistry with a diverse, yet eclectic body of work”.
“This Things Happen To” highlights G’s development since their debut LP, as well as paying homage to its now-classic and fan-favorite tracks.
