The 6ft 9ins Icelandic veteran battled with the MMA fighter for two minutes, but was in no shape to do so as he prepared to compete in the strongman competition.

“Not at all (was I expecting it). I wasn’t ready to fight at all. After those two minutes I was out of breath.

“I was just training for Strongman and wasn’t in shape at all to do melee or anything like that.”

Björnsson initially planned to take a picture with the Irishman before his spontaneous wrestling – so he was in jeans.

He continued: “It was funny because if you watch the video again, I’m wearing jeans.

“I’m basically just going to take a picture, then somehow this grappling came out of nowhere.”

Notorious said: “It was a lot of fun. He’s a big guy – 6ft 9in, 400 pounds. And I still hooked him up.”
