Grandaddy to play ‘The Sophtware Slump’ in its entirety for 2022 UK tour

Granddaddy has announced a series of UK dates for 2022.

American indie-rock band will call in April to perform their 2000 album ‘The Software Slump’ in Bexhill-on-Sea, London, Manchester and Glasgow, along with other songs from their previous list.

Last year, the band announced the massive 20th anniversary of ‘The Software Slump’, a fully re-mastered version of the 2000 album and the band’s two EPs, ‘Signal to Snow Ratio’ and ‘A Frosty Plate Glass’. Through’.

It also included ‘The Software Slump….. on a Wooden Piano’, in which frontman Jason Little performs the entirety of the solo album on piano.

“Due to the pandemic, all of a sudden, I was looking at a real deadline to make the damn thing,” he said in a statement at the time of the new piano album. “Here we go, as in the old days.”

Speaking further about the re-release Granthshala, little added, “I groaned and groaned a bit, because you have to be in the right mindset to be okay with going back to nostalgia, giving yourself a pat on the back for what you did years ago. It can be a bit of a hassle. But what made it more interesting is when Jim [Fairchild, guitarist] And I envisioned solo piano versions—it became something new, and it kind of didn’t work.”


He also confirmed that the band is working on a new album at the time.

“I have too many songs, almost too many. I have a solo record I’ve been working on, an idea that I’ve wanted to do for years, and that’s the first one to come. But I’m on another Granddaddy record.” I’m making.”
