Janik Sinar vs Alexander Vukic Preview
Jannik Sinner is set to kick-start his 2021 season with a second-round match against Australia’s Alexander Vukic on Wednesday at the Great Ocean Road Open.
Sinner, who finished fourth in the newly minted tournament, got a bye in the first round. The Italians will now envision their chance against a relatively uncontested opponent.

Vukic competes largely on the ITF and Challenger circuits, and has contested a fair few finals at those levels. A large part of the 24-year-old’s results have come on hardcourts, a surface where she seems most comfortable.
Vukic has made steady progress over the years and is currently ranked 195 in the ATP rankings. The Australian team made their Grand Slam debut at the French Open last year, but were unable to win.
In fact, the first ATP Tour victory for Vatica came a few days before at the Great Ocean Road Open. Playing in front of his home fans at Melbourne Park, Vukic took out Chinese Taipei’s Yen-Hsun Lu in straight sets.
The performance would certainly have boosted the 24-year-old’s confidence level ahead of his meeting with Jannik Sinner.
Janik Sinar vs Alexander Vukic head-to-head

This will be the first career meeting between Gennik Sinner and Alexander Vukic, so their current head-to-head 0-0 standoff.
Genital Sinner vs Alexander Vukic Prophecy
Playing at the Adelaide exhibition last week, Gennik Sinner suffered a defeat at the hands of the Serbian pair of Filip Krajinovic and Novak Djokovic. He Might have wanted to ease that frustration and start the new season on a positive note.
Against Vukic, Sinar has the perfect chance to test his range. The two have never been with each other before, so they may take some time to understand each other’s game.
The start will be even more important for the Australian as he cannot let Sinar settle into his slot. The Italian already has a lot of experience playing on the big stage, and should have enough in the tank to register a win.
Prediction: Janik Sinar to win in two tight sets.
