‘Guilty Gear Strive’ unveils first DLC fighter, who has an alien in a coffin

Developer Arc System Works has unveiled the first DLC fighter coming to its anime-styled brawler guilty gear attempt – Peculiar name Goldlewis Dickinson.

in the dystopian world guilty Gear, Dickinson serves as the full Secretary of Defense in the US government. Described as “from the overweight sheriff to the president’s right hand”, he first appeared in story mode. Guilty Gear Strikes Base game as a supporting character.

Although the DLC marks the debut of Dickinson as a playable character. guilty Gear Universe, he’s reminiscent of fellow heavyweight Potemkin—slow but powerful, with moves that deal heaps of damage when connected.


Unlike some of the slower characters in the series, Dickinson – possibly named after Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson, because of heavy metal and rock music influences. guilty Gear – Claims some ranged attacks, thanks to a laser hidden in his eye.

Dickinson is also armed with a giant coffin, which he mainly uses to crush enemies. The coffin, of course, contains no aliens, despite the massive “Area 51” metal plate fixed to it. Ignore “warning: extra-terrestrial”. Don’t come in!” posters on that too.

Anyway, that’s enough on the aliens—which, remember, definitely don’t exist—because Dickinson can even pull out a chain gun in battle to shoo back enemies and deal tons of chip damage.

Goldlewis Dickinson will be available to Season Pass holders on July 27, giving them three days of playable exclusivity before the character’s release on July 30 for non-Season Pass holders.


Four more DLC characters are set to be included in the first season pass, though their identities have not been disclosed. The next is due out in August 2021 and the third is coming out in 2022, with characters four and five coming before the end of the year.

The latter pair will each bring with them an additional battle stage, while five will launch with another story mode for the game, which is also included in the season pass. This game is available on PS4, PS5 and PC.
