The all-rounder first posted a selfie from Motera Stadium, where the pink ball Test between India and England will begin on February 24. Posing from a stand at Motera Stadium, he wrote:

The recently constructed Motera Stadium, also known as the Sardar Patel Stadium, is the largest cricket stadium in the world and the second largest stadium overall. The seating capacity at Motera Stadium is 110,000. The Rungrado May Day Stadium in Pyongyang, North Korea, is the largest stadium in the world with a seating capacity of 114,000.
With the four-match series 1–1 on par, the third Test holds significance for both. Team India need one win to reach the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) while England need to win the remaining two Tests to qualify.
Hardik Pandya has not played any Test since 2018
Although Hardik Pandya is part of the Indian Test team for the ongoing series in England, he has not been taken into account. In fact, the 27-year-old has not played any Test for India since 2018.
Pandya was not selected for the Test series in Australia, as he was impressed under the shorter format. Indian captain Virat Kohli had made it clear that Hardik Pandya will get a place in the Test team only when he is fit enough to bowl.
After India’s Test win in Chennai, the all-rounder was seen training with a pink ball. However, he did not bowl during the net session. Pandya batted against the pair of Rahul Chahar, K Gautham and Shahbaz Nadeem and also made some gaps in the field.
In 11 Tests so far, Hardik Pandya has scored 532 runs at an average of 31.29 with one hundred and four fifties. With the ball, he has taken 17 wickets at an average of 31.05. This includes a five-wicket haul against England at Nottingham in August of 2018.
