She claimed that a male Himalayan bear named Stefan was “jealous” that she was expecting a baby, leading to a sudden attack in front of screaming children in the Russian city of Oryol.

It was her husband, 34-year-old Alexey Velker, another trainer, who dragged the hunter away from his wife.

In doing so he inflicted worse wounds than what he had done. The bear gnawed his right arm and had to get stitches on the severed cuts and blood vessels.

Both required hospital treatment but were later discharged.

Circus Grand’s Bear would not perform again after the attack.

Prosecutors are examining footage of the incident and may bring criminal charges against the organizers of the circus.

As the bear attacks her, Baspanova appears dressed in a bright blue outfit.

An eyewitness said the male bear did not back down despite being “flashed”.

“I literally have two bruises and minor bruises on my leg,” the female coach said.

“Even with animals, everything is fine, and my children, everything is normal.”

Baspanova said: “Perhaps it was some degree of jealousy, because I am pregnant.

“There can be many nuances. I will certainly deal with this incident with more experienced colleagues.

“At the moment, the bear treats me as usual.

“It treats again lovingly and lovingly as if nothing had happened.”

One report said that Trainor and Bear “hug and dress up” after the attack.

Locals said they had seen Stephen in a cage before the show – formerly identified as a brown bear, but now called a Himalayan.

It appeared in agitated and disturbed state.

“The same hunter attacked one of the employees and wanted to run away,” FAN reported.

“The traveler said it was in a cage in the backyard and was restless.”

Russia has seen shocking circus incidents involving animals in recent months.

Irina Novozhilova of animal rights group Vita has called for a ban on all circuses with live animals, which are popular across Russia.

“No circus situation would be humane for one simple reason,” she said.

“Training goes hand in hand with brutality.

“Circuses are always cruel beyond limits. And circuses with animals should be banned.”

The terror unfolds during an act involving two bears and two trainers in the ring.
