Lorraine Kelly mocked Brooklyn Beckham’s toe-curling cooking segment on The Today Show after it was brutally mocked by viewers online.

The 60-year-old presenter joked that a budding chef would be on his show to show them how to make “beans on toast” when he showed viewers how to make an “English breakfast sandwich” on a US daytime program.

After it aired Stateside, many viewers took to the brand on Twitter. The performance was ‘shameful’, with many questioning how he landed such a segment on some of the most eligible chefs in the country.

Speaking to her Hollywood correspondent Ross King, Lorraine joked that the segment was ‘absolutely fascinating’.

But instead of blaming Brooklyn’s culinary prowess, the star said the overzealous response from TODAY show hosts Hoda Kotb and Carson Daly made the segment even more uncomfortable.

He said: ‘At first I thought it was a hoax, but it is not. He seemed all embarrassed, wee soul… He’s coming here tomorrow to make beans on toast… Bonkers!’

He said that his love of cooking began to flourish during the quarantine, when he started posting videos of himself making different dishes on his Instagram account.

He said, ‘I have always loved food and obviously when the quarantine hit I really started getting into it.’

‘My fiancé (Nicola Peltz) started filming me and I started posting it and it’s something I love to do.’
