Latest information for the trial version of Hotdogs, Horseshoes, and Grenades Adds new options for hand filtering. The system is currently only available on the Alpha branch. Hand filtering takes input from VR controllers and eliminates minor jitter. This shaking can be caused by tracking data issues or natural handshake when attempting to capture a specific position.

Usually, these subtle movements are not very problematic, but can be very noticeable when using a scope or hitting distant targets. The system comes in two versions, one is hand filtering, and the other is sniper assist. The hand filtering option will take input from the controllers and reduce shaking, although the system should still allow for minor movements to be detected.

Sniping assist kicks when using a scoped weapon that is either held over the shoulder or supported with both hands. This removes a lot of shake and allows for accurate shots with a high magnification scope that would have been very difficult without a bipod. The dampening effect will stop working when a weapon is retreating. Repeat shots will have to be delayed until the gun is stabilized.

Also included in the update is a new weapon. The UMP-9 is the 9mm version of the UMP-45. The UMP-45 received a new model as the old one had been in play since its first iteration. Both weapons come with updated magazines that have working witnesses, which will allow players to keep a close eye on how many bullets are in the magazine.

Players must right-click Hotdogs, Horseshoes and Grenades To switch to the alpha branch in your Steam library. Then select Properties and Beta. In the drop-down list, select Alpha1 and let the game update.
