The iPhone has a built-in countdown timer that is available through the default clock app that comes pre-installed on your device.

It’s super handy for a workout, and it can even remind you when it’s time to take your dinner out of the oven.

Typically, users access the timer by opening the app and navigating to it using the buttons at the bottom of the display.

But as Roxy, who posted under the username “roxanna.rox” explained, there is an easier way to open the tool.

It’s located in Control Center, the quick menu that opens when you drag down from the top right side of the display.

To set a timer between one minute and two hours, hold down the clock icon and tap Start to turn it on.

keyboard cursor trick

Roxy told her 1.1 million TikTok followers about a nifty Apple keyboard trick.

It provides a quick and easy way to move your cursor around while typing a message.

This feature in Apple’s default keyboard allows users to easily edit texts without worrying about messing things up with a thick thumb.

To use it, tap and hold the space bar before moving your thumb up, down, left, or right.

This will allow you to move the cursor in the direction you move your finger, allowing you to add or remove letters without having to tap where you want to edit.

This trick will not work if you use a third-party keyboard like Google Keyboard or SwiftKey.

close multiple apps at once

Roxy’s last little-known trick is to make it easy to close multiple apps at once.

This includes the iPhone’s app switcher, which you can access by swiping up and holding for a second.

You will be presented with a line-up of all the apps that are currently open and running in the background on your iPhone.

Most people know that you can close an app by swiping up on it while in this view.

But few people know that you can close multiple apps at once by placing two or three fingers on the screen and swiping up.
