Idris Elba has denied himself being the next James Bond.

for the premiere as hard as they fall, produced by rapper Jay-Z, Elba denied that he was in contention as a possible successor to Daniel Craig’s 007.

asked by ITV London If he would play the detective, Elba replied: “No, I’m not going to be James Bond.”

Asked if he would like to take up the role at some point, he said: “Who wouldn’t?”

“It’s a sign of the time we can stop talking about black, white, and color,” Elba responded with how wonderful it would be to be a black James Bond.

Elba has several projects lined up over the next few years, including voicing Knuckles. sonic the hedgehog 2 and starring in Three Thousand Years of Longing, a fantasy romance flick mad max fury road Director George Miller.

There’s no confirmation on who will play James Bond next, but actor Ben Whishaw, who played tech magician Q in the last three films, recently said he’d like to see a gay actor play the role.

“Of course, I’d like to see that,” said Whishaw. “I really believe that we should be working towards a world where anyone can play anything and it would be really thrilling if no one cares about one’s sexuality to play a role like this.”

He added: “I think it will be real progress. But we will see, we will see where we are at. I am amazed how much has changed in the last five or six years, so we will see.”

In Granthshala four star review, no time to die has been described as a “surprisingly emotional finale” for Daniel Craig’s Bond.
