As the Sun-Times reports, Assistant Public Defender Courtney Smallwood, a lawyer for Resandez-Florez, argued that her client was not living with the couple at the time, but was living with her family in Des Plaines.

Judge John F. Laik Jr. ordered the arrest of Resendez-Flores without bail. He is expected to appear in court again on Tuesday.
