James Corden is on his way to becoming the UK’s best-paid television personality, reportedly after signing a £15 million, two-year deal with US TV majors.
The 43-year-old Londoner could surpass Ant and December as the highest-paid TV star, with a potential £7.5 million annual income topping the pair’s £6.6million for their stint at ITV.
The presenter’s deal with the television network CBS expires next year, six years after being the acclaimed host of The Late Late Show.

However, according to reports SunIndustry sources are keen to have the A-lister on board as the face of the talk show.
An LA TV insider said: ‘CBS has no Plan B, James is their guy and they look to be with them.
“He is one of the faces of the network, he puts on a massively successful show and drives a lot of traffic for them online. The figures that are being discussed are around £15 million for two years.’

Carpool karaoke has become a global phenomenon, with a whole array of famous faces taking for car rides while James sings.
Adele, Sir Elton John, Ed Sheeran and Will Smith are just some of the showbiz stars who were keen to spin – and sing – with the multi-talented star.
James’ last deal with the US Chiefs was worth a little over £5m a year, an increase from his first appearance which earned him £3m a year earlier when he debuted in 2015.
Back in February it was reported that James had more than doubled his wealth to £50m after moving to Hollywood.

The comedian relocated from the UK to Los Angeles six years ago as an anchor for The Late Late Show, which he started in March 2015.
Since this step, Gavin and Stacy Star has become one of the partners in the film production company Fulwell 73 and has seen its wealth increase.
James was previously estimated to be worth around £22m, although his company’s latest accounts have declared business assets of £140m.

The star has also earned from his film and TV roles, with him reportedly earning $7m for The Late Late Show, as well as millions of dollars tied up in his assets.
a source told Sun At the time: ‘James took a big gamble to anchor The Late Late Show in LA in 2015. It could have backfired spectacularly, but it has paid off big time.
‘James has wisely invested in Fulwell. It has a lot of overhead and their share in the bank is not cash, but there is no doubt that it has been a good investment.
