“Danger!” The host found himself in a fine mess for declaring his “most controversial take on stage ever” – that pineapple is on pizza.

The debacle of decadence began when contestant David Stiasny — a pediatrician from Highland Park, Ill. — buzzed in for the category “A Pineapple” on Tuesday’s episode.

“A BBC article titled ‘Pineapple on’ states, ‘It’s the food choice that divides the world,'” Jennings read. Stiasny – facing defending champion Chris Pannullo and software engineer Etienne Lépin – declared, “What’s pizza?”

“Pineapple on pizza, yes. And I can settle the dispute, it’s delicious,” Jennings said of the $200 correct answer, while Stacey apparently took on the host’s pie-in-the-sky theory. Cried.

The host received some criticism online after advocating for pineapple on pizza.

The official “Jeopardy!” Twitter account deployment of A meme of the incident aired with the caption, “dispute settled”, but it rekindled the centuries-old debate over fruit on a slice.

“No it doesn’t. Pineapple and ham are not related to pizza in any way. Not even in Hawaii,” a the user Keeping his side, argued in a defensive manner.

“Yuck,” another Just wrote

“Ken is wrong! Pineapple on pizza is sacred! Told An ardent pineapple hater.

“Still Taking the Worst,” Another Pizza Snob Agreed,

“This just in: ‘@Jeopardy after rating @KenJennings supports the unthinkable,'” quipped one user.

Perhaps the most egregious blunder was when he allowed a contestant to correct an incorrect answer.

It looked as though Jennings, who splits her hosting duties with Mayim Bialik, was playing the favorite, allowing the champion to correct her slip-up, but the other players didn’t make a mistake.

Meanwhile, Jennings, 48, upset viewers this summer when he made a “painful,” crude quip about circumcision. Then this month he cursed me for accidentally spoiling an answer.

“I mean, I had played so many games here that I thought ‘I have a pretty good sense of what hosting is going to be like,’ and then you realize hosting is even more difficult because you’re basically Everything the contestants have to do, plus manage the game for them, plus manage the game for the home audience,” Jennings previously acknowledged on “Good Morning America.”

Since Alex Trebek passed away two years ago, it seems like the show has gone down tragically with one gaffe after another. The show’s producers angered viewers more recently by using an Edgar Allan Poe quote to portray Brian Laundry, who murdered his girlfriend Gabby Petito last year.
