Jesy Nelson’s controversial Boyz video was directed by boyfriend Harry James after they got back together earlier this year.
The 30-year-old released his first solo track last Friday after sensationally leaving Little Mix last December.
And her boyfriend Harry was one of the brains behind the video.
The 27-year-old producer proudly shared his work on Instagram when the song released last week.
He told his 26.6k followers: “Boys out now! Video directed by me @jesynelson @nickiminaj @diddy.”
Jesse, who co-directed the video, responded in the comments section: “We f***ing did itttttttttt.”
Harry began dating Jesse in 2017 and the pair were together for 16 months before their relationship called off.
Then in September 2021, it was revealed that the stunner and Harry have become close again.
The ex-Little Mix singer whisked them away on a luxury vacation to the Caribbean during the summer.
The pair spent a week at the four-star Hodges Bay Resort & Spa in Antigua, and then traveled to Los Angeles to film the video for Jessie’s first single.
A source told us at the time: “Jesse and Harry have always been like a house on fire and have been spending too much time together lately.
“Antigua was a great way to reconnect with the secrecy of who no one knew they were.
“Jesse has her battles but is ready to go on with her solo career and her bond with Harry is stronger than ever, she really is in the best place. She can’t wait to see the rest What will the year bring?
“He is helping her in her career, but also for her personally. They have matured a lot since being together and have become very close.”
Jessie’s new music video was definitely worth the wait as she roped in some of music’s biggest names to star in her hit new track Boys.
The upbeat hip hop track had cameos from Muggle P Diddy and Nicki Minaj.
Since the big reveal, Jesse’s former bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall have unfollowed her.
The Boyz’ music video hasn’t impressed some members after Leigh-Anne accuses Jesse of “blackfishing”—when a white man uses black culture to advance his career or online presence.
After an influencer named No Hun asked her fans if she should create a dance routine for the Boys, Leigh-Anne replied: “No. Make a video of her being Blackfish instead.”
Responding to Blackfishing claims, Jesse said: “I never found anything like this until I was in Little Mix. And then I came out of . [the band] And people were suddenly saying this.
“But I mean, like, I love black culture. I love black music. That’s all I know; that’s what I grew up with.
“I am very aware that I am a white British woman; I never said I was not.”
