The service was reportedly held at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art, with photos showing West, Drake, Tyler, The Creator, Kid Cudi and Kim Kardashian online. According to Instagram user @englewoodbarbie, artists like Rihanna, Frank Ocean, A$AP Rocky and others were also in attendance.

Abloh, who designed for fashion houses such as Louis Vuitton and Off-White, died late last month after suffering from cancer in private for several years. He was 41 years old.

Following the news of his passing, tributes began to pour in from artists who had influenced or collaborated with him. Frank Ocean took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt tribute to his friend, calling Abloh his “hero.”

“My family was as proud of you as you were our family,” Ocean wrote. “I know sadness is love that you do not get to express so there is an effort to express it. Love you. You are a hero.”

Shortly after, Tyler, The Creator, followed suit with a lengthy Instagram tribute of his own, saying that Abloh “was always a cheerleader”.

Tyler wrote, “That hand of his open doors, takes people in and throws out the key for the next person.”

“I wish I could see him see what his helping hand did for me. His spirit is all around Theo. I feel. He’ll see it. I’ll keep pushing and trying things while leaving the door open. Will shake the pom-poms. We’ll keep it on loop. Safe travel.”

Kanye West also paid tribute to Abloh through his Sunday Service performance, where the choir dedicated a cover of Adele’s “Easy on Me” to the late artist.
