It was a news alert, before explaining that the mother-of-two looked worried and quickly brushed it off.

The tickled Ben looked happy and wondered why he was getting news alerts on his mobile when he worked on the news.

He couldn’t help making fun of her and said: “The good news is there’s some breaking news on another news channel!”

Kate replied: “I’m sorry. I find it very useful when I’m not on air!”

Wearing glasses on the TODAY show, Kate previously revealed she’s had a rough week and that after a few “long days” she had sore eyes.

The TV star – who also cares for her husband Derek Draper – said: “I think what it is that I’ve had some really long days lately, and I always wear contact lenses.”

Thankfully, Dr Amir Khan, the physician of the GMB show, sat down beside her, and explained: “If you are wearing contact lenses, there is a risk of an eye scratch or an eye inflammation.

“You may need drops to prevent infection. But see me later.”

Viewers also saw Kate’s new look on TODAY, as one tweeted: “Is there anything different about Kate?” While another wrote: “Kate needs to push her glasses closer to her eyes or take a smaller frame”.
