Kenny Smith thinks Kemba Walker is a “Ferrari” that the Knicks don’t know how to drive.

On Friday, “Inside the NBA” hosts TMZ. told He believes coach Tom Thibodeau is to blame for the problems with Walker’s playing and benching later this week.

Smith said of Walker’s demotion, “That guy is a great offensive player and you don’t know how to use him, that’s really what you’re talking about.” “It’s up to the coach and the organization not to understand what this kind of guy is worth, what they paid for it.”


Walker signed a two-year, $18 million deal this summer to return home to his native New York.

Walker was taken out of the rotation after Alec Burks’s first start to the season was backed up in Saturday’s win over the Hawks.

A four-time All-Star, Walker has averaged 11.7 points this season through 18 appearances. His plus-minus team-worst is minus-122.

Walker has yet to publicly address the point guard shift.
