The reality TV star and billionaire businesswoman hasn’t held back from the long-running US sketch show proving she’s happy to make fun of herself.
Famous Studio 8H in . take me on stage New York City Wearing a pink catsuit, Kardashian West kicked off the show with an intimate video that launched her career.
“I know, I’m surprised to see me here too,” she said in her monologue. “When they asked I was like, ‘You want me to host, why? I haven’t premiered a film in a long time’. In fact, I only had one film and no one told me That it is also premiering.”
And of mom Kris Jenner’s supposedly brutal management of her daughters’ careers, she said: “It must have slipped my mom’s mind.”
Kardashian West said: “I’m excited to be here tonight to show you guys that I’m so much more than a pretty face – and good hair and great makeup and amazing boobs and a perfect butt.
“Basically, I’m so much more of that reference photo that my sisters showed their plastic surgeons.”
Next in the firing line was her mother’s boyfriend, Corey Gamble.
Kardashian West added: “But one thing I’m really proud of is that no one can ever call me a gold digger. Honestly, I don’t even know how you became one Huh.
“So I asked my mom’s boyfriend, Corey.”
The socialite and criminal justice campaigner said how happy she was to follow in her father’s footsteps in pursuing a legal career.
Robert Kardashian was known as Simpson’s lawyer during the 1995 murder trial – and soon became a joke about the controversial former football player.
Kardashian West joked that it was her father who first introduced her to a black man – inviting viewers to “take a stab in the dark about who he was”.
Referring to the ongoing mystery surrounding the murders of Simpson’s ex-wife and her friend, he said: “OJ leaves traces – or many – or none at all, I still don’t know.”
Then came a lie about the name Karen and its modern use to describe a rude white woman.
Kardashian West said her mother knew “somehow” to avoid the name, then added: “I don’t know how she saw that coming but Caitlyn didn’t.”
Another lie was aimed at husband Kanye West and former step-parent Caitlyn, both of whom have unsuccessfully bid for political office over the past 12 months.
Kardashian West said: “I’m not running for president – we can’t have three failed politicians in this family.”
And mocking her divorce, Kardashian West called West “the best rapper ever” and the richest black man in America.
The reason she separated from the father of her four children was “his personality”, she said.
At the end of the show, Kardashian West thanked her family for being “such a good sport.”
In addition to her opening monologue, Kardashian West also showed off her acting skills, appearing in sketches from Aladdin as Jasmine, a contestant on a reality TV dating show and a presenter on a dark zany local newscast.
She shared a kiss with SNL cast member Pete Davidson for the Aladdin segment, while the dating show bit included an A-list cameo.
Superstar comic Chris Rock made an appearance, as did Gossip Girl actor Chase Crawford and professional wrestler John Cena.
And Kardashian West played older sister Kourtney in a legal sketch called In the People’s Court.
She oversaw disputes between her family—including between the cast of SNL playing her and West.
Singer-songwriter Halsey was the episode’s musical guest.
The show’s traditional cold-open sketch made fun of Facebook’s alleged malfeasance in US Congressional hearings.
Senators were portrayed as bubbly technophobes while attempting to interrogate whistleblower Francis Haugen.
