Daniel Craig believes that Jurgen Klopp would be a great successor as James Bond.
But Liverpool boss Klopp fears fans of the film will be shaken and scared if they see him in just 007-style swim shorts.
Craig has no time to die in his final performance as Bond.
But the Liverpool supporter has plenty of time for layman Klopp, whom he “adores”.
However, German believes it would be 007 ‘n hell for the lovers of the world’s most famous detective if he paraded his body almost naked across the screen.
At 54, Klopp is just nine months older than Englishman Craig.
But he believes that his pictures emerging from the sea are only his 4-4-2 eyes – his.
When Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher asked him on Sky Sports whether Klopp would make a “good James Bond”, Craig roared loudly.
Changing to HO-HO-7, the happy actor replied: “I mean I adore him, so yes.
“I’ve been lucky enough to meet him twice and you just want to follow him.”
But Craig also let go of a secret that could be thrown under cue the next time he comes to Anfield.
Speaking of Klopp’s similar inspirations, he said: “There are some people I’ve met over the years.
“The other is [ex-Manchester United manager} Alex Ferguson actually, but I shouldn’t really mention him!
“He [Klopp] is a leader. So I think he’s actually way ahead of James Bond.”
Footballer 007 XI
This XI of top players would be licensed to thrill if Jurgen Klopp became 007 and needed a crack team.
Delighted fans will be over Moonraker if they’ve ever seen this lot play…
1 – Dr. N’Golo
2 – Bellerin Specter
3 – Emil Smith Rowe -07
4 – HouseMiro Royale
5 – Skyfall Pogba
6 – Fikayo Tomorrow Never Dies
7 – Eric Dier Another Day
8 – A View to a Kylian Mbappe
9 – Declan You Only Live Rice
10 – Diamonds are Patrice Evra
11 – Bernardo Silva-Finger (star of a little-known budget-Bond remake)
Klopp enjoys the idea of taking Craig’s place in an equally iconic role.
But he’ll flatly turn it down—as movie-goers want to walk in the ocean if they see him grow out of it as most Bonds should on some level.
He said: “I’d be too bad James Bond. If I were to walk out of the water in swim shorts, the whole world would shut down.
“It’s a good story, I’ll always watch it. He has to save the world and I have to help liverpool.
“I was lucky enough to meet Daniel Craig a few times and I will remember him as James Bond!
“I’m happy to see him do what he does and to be honest. To be honest, I’ll really miss him as James Bond.”
But it is more than a quantum of solace for both Klopp and Craig that Liverpool top the Premier League ahead of Sunday’s home clash with Manchester City.
