ASPEN LADD’s upcoming UFC bout with Messi Chiasson has been called off following a related pre-fight weigh-in.
Before failing to hit the 135-pound bantamweight goal, 26-year-old Ladd was trembling on the scales and struggling to lift her arms.
A privacy screen was placed around the American, which claims a 9-1 mma record when weighing in.
Ladd has since revealed that he started his period shortly before and that Chiasson called off the fight, not UFC officials.
written by Lad instagram: “The fight’s off. Again. All my fault. Straight up my period started 2 days ago and made this cut absolutely sad.
“The best I did was I hit 137, the scale position was a mess because the last thing I wanted was bleeding in front of the media.
“The fight was not drawn, my opponent then decided that she would not go through with it, as is her right.
“I’m going to be slammed regardless, so let it start.”

It is the second time the fight has been called off after the original July date was postponed due to injury to 30-year-old Chiasson.
Making his UFC debut in March 2019, Chiasson has won seven of his eight MMA bouts.
Ladd also experienced difficulties at the weigh-in for his fight with Germaine de Randomy in July 2019.
She was trembling on the scales and looked in pain – but the fight went on, with Laddu suffering the only defeat of her career.
Her bantamweight license was temporarily suspended as a result, although she returned to the Octagon five months later.
Ladd has not fought since his December 2019 victory against Yana Kunitskaya after suffering a serious knee injury in training.
