The song is the latest preview from the band – formerly known as British Sea Power – upcoming new album ‘Everything Was Forever’, which is set to be released on February 11, 2022.

“‘Stupidity’ is in the tradition of the Singalong Sea Power apocalyptic anthem – everyone hits the road to disaster rush. Party started!” C Power guitarist Martin Noble said in a statement.

“You can find yourself standing on the South Downs, on the Falls or the Dales, looking down at the world, a world where we avoid decisions and changes to prevent rot. It’s all silly, but something in this case Beautifully set to life-affirming music—the good stuff that oozes donut vibes and you might think it’s not all over, not quite, not yet.”

Vocalist/guitarist Neil Hamilton Wilkinson continued: “I was thinking of things like the greedy overlord playing the fart game in the lawn of his great lordship, the imaginary excitement of common lands, bodies, minds, doom and insignificance that would destroy the world. Feeds, me included.

“When I came across this song I was feeling crazy, on edge, like the old vampire in Nosferatu.”
