Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of Marvel’s latest TV series, bottle gourd, and it’s finally here. The mini-series starring Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson premiered on June 9 and will continue streaming new episodes until mid-July.
Everyone who follows Marvel would have thought Hiddleston was going to reprise his role as Loki, but many were surprised to learn that Wilson had been cast to play Moebius. Because he is a newcomer to the Marvel universe, Wilson initially knew nothing about Loki and had to be taught everything about the character during Hiddleston’s “Loki School”.
Looking back on the experience, Wilson admitted that he wanted his grade school teachers to be as kind and informative as Hiddleston, because they would have done better.

“Loki School” is a term that Wilson coined to describe the process Wilson went through with Hiddleston to learn more about the character and his background. When he first signed on to star in the series, Hiddleston spent a lot of time teaching him Loki lore. During a recent interview Rajdhani FM, he joked that he wished his grade school teachers had been as effective when educating him.
“We’ll be kid about it, Loki is going” school, and Tom was the teacher,” Wilson said. “And I think if I had more teachers like Tom, I would have done better in school because he was so understanding and patient and — it was a long… Meaning school wasn’t just an hour, it went on for a few days. And so he could see sometimes when I’d hit a wall and say, ‘Maybe we’ll get out of here tomorrow.'”
Because Mobius, a member of the Time Variance Authority, must know everything about Loki, it’s understandable why Wilson and Hiddleston had to dive so deep.
“I don’t know if I was Phi Beta Kappa from the Loki school, but I think I got pretty good marks, and it definitely helped my character, who is known to be kind of an expert on Loki.”

With more than 10 years of experience playing a single character, it’s easy to understand why Hiddleston has so much knowledge about the god of mischief. During their conversation, Wilson was struck by Hiddleston’s explanation of why he loved playing Loki so much.
“I said, ‘I guess it’s because he has so much range,'” Hiddleston explained. Entertainment Weekly. “I remember I told him this: ‘On the 88 keys on the piano, he can play the keys with the twinkling lights on top. He can keep it funny and light, and he’s a god of mischief,’ but he’s the other way around. And he can play some really deep chords down there, which are about grief and betrayal and loss and heartbreak and jealousy and pride.'”

Now that bottle gourd On air, Marvel’s production team can’t wait for fans to see Wilson and Hiddleston’s on-screen dynamic. Marvel boss Kevin Feige explained why the two would be such an interesting pairing during an Entertainment Weekly interview.
“Mobius is not unlike Owen Wilson in that he is dissatisfied with the MCU,” Feige said. “[Loki] Used to get feedback from people, be it his brother or his father, or other Avengers. He likes to be very flamboyant and dramatic. Möbius doesn’t give him the response he’s looking for. This leads to a very unique relationship that Loki is not used to. “
