London weather forecast: 80 per cent chance of snow this weekend

This weekend Ondon may get its first winter snow after a drop in temperatures.

Forecasters are predicting strong wind and rain in the capital before turning white before 6 pm on Friday.

Netweather shows a 30 percent chance of snow on Friday and 80 percent on Saturday.


According to WX Charts, snowflakes will make their way from the Welsh coast to London.

The Met Office is predicting severe frost, snow and ice for London and the southeast on Sunday.

However, Graham Madge told the Evening Standard that the chances of snowfall in the city are very low.

“Winter rain, including snow, will be a feature of the UK forecast through the weekend,” he said.

“However, winter conditions will be largely confined to the northern hills above 300 metres.

London is expected to see cloudy sky and rain in the coastal areas on Thursday amid strong sunshine with a maximum temperature of 7 degrees Celsius.

A spokesman for the Met Office said: “Fridays and Saturdays get very unstable conditions, with thunderstorms, rain or rain, these are probably winters at times, especially on higher ground.

“Mostly dry Sunday, with the winds gradually reducing. feeling cold.”

In the next week, rain and strong winds are expected from the west or northwest.

London can still expect some bright and dry weather, although there is a risk of thunderstorms at times.
