‘Lord of the Rings’ studio developing new game based on “major worldwide IP”

Behind Effects and Props Studio Lord of the Rings has revealed that it is currently developing a game based on the “major worldwide IP”.

as reported by gamespot, a job advertisement for the role of producer Weta Workshop The Gaming Division has appeared, revealing that the studio is working on a new game based on “an incredibly rich and inspiring license.”

“We are looking for a producer to help us develop cutting-edge games,” said Weta Workshop Facebook, “Our next PC release is an incredibly rich and inspiring license that will fill fans and players around the world with joy. Find it interesting?”

Weta Workshop also stated on the job ad that it is “currently looking for an exceptionally talented game producer to join our team in beautiful Wellington. This role will enable us to launch our next PC and console game project on a major worldwide IP.” Which is very close to our heart.”

The unannounced project description reads: “Get off the ground on this exciting next phase at the interactive team at Weta Workshop!”

Currently, the only producer job is the position open at the studio, but it is possible that more will be added in the future.

For now, Weta hasn’t confirmed or announced the project it’s working on. As the company worked with Peter Jackson on their Lord of the Rings trilogy, it is possible that the Lord of the Rings game may be a “major worldwide IP” mystery.
