Strictly Come Dancing star Maisie Smith has left EastEnders after 13 years.
revealed last December how the actress was preparing to leave after coming up with big money offers.
Massey, who was six when she joined BBC One soap in 2008, will leave Albert Square at the end of the year.
She said: “It’s time to bid farewell to Tiff! I’ve grown up on EastEnders since 2008, and have learned best from the past 13 years.
“I am very excited for my next challenge and thank the BBC for the opportunity they gave me at the age of six.”
EastEnders executive producer Jon Sen said: “We are all very sad except Macy’s.
“She has been an amazing company member during her time at EastEnders and it is a privilege to see the star she is in bloom.
“She has created an iconic character in Tiff and the door is always open for her comeback.
“We wish them all the best for their future projects.”
Insiders reported that 19-year-old Messi decided not to renew her contract this month as she wanted to pursue other opportunities.
Following her stint at Strictly last year, where she was runner-up alongside pro dancer Gorka Marquez, Macy’s was offered a six-figure sum for her association with beauty and clothing brands.
Her deal with the BBC meant she was unable to take up any other offers.
In her time on the soap, Tiffany has been involved in several big stories, including a shock grooming scandal in 2019.
He won the British Soap Award ten years earlier for Best Dramatic Performance for a Young Actor or Actress.
Macy revealed last November that she was looking forward to pursuing her career away from Albert Square and looking for more opportunities.
She said: “In the future I want to try new things and play new characters.”
The story of Macy’s exit is yet to be revealed.
Currently on the soap she is seen coping with the breakdown of her marriage to her husband Keegan and the return of her brother Liam.
