Connecticut – Connecticut State Police said a man broke into a family home and tried to make it his own.
Police arrested Benjamin Dahm, 31, inside the Old Lyme Home on Monday.
A 16-year-old living in the house called the police after coming home and saw a shirtless man inside his house. man was allegedly opened a window and told the teenager “This is no longer your home.”
Officers found a Jeep Cherokee without license plates and the man inside in the garage.

He says that he tried to call the man to come out, but he didn’t. An officer then went inside through an open basement door to search the house.
A soldier and his K-9 found Dahm hiding in an upstairs bathroom.

He was arrested and charged with theft and infiltration. His bond was $50,000. It was not clear if he had a lawyer who could speak on his behalf.
Dahm has six other active criminal and motor vehicle cases pending in Connecticut courts from April to July, according to hartford currentCourt records show that the charges include disorderly conduct and violating the terms of his release.
