Police said a ruthless miscreant forced a 78-year-old woman out of her car in Brooklyn and took the victim’s dog inside.
According to police, the carjacking happened around 1:15 pm on Sunday when the victim was parked in her 2008 Red Honda Civic near Mill Avenue and Mayfair Drive in Mill Basin.
Police said that after pulling the woman out of the driver’s seat, he fled with his dog, a toy poodle named Luna, who is still in the vehicle.
Officials said the woman suffered a head injury and was treated at a local hospital.
Sources said the victim’s sedan was located at South 9th Street and Berry Avenue in Williamsburg on Wednesday morning, but her dog was still missing.
According to a poster circulated in the neighborhood of Carjacking, the 9-year-old dog with curly white hair is “very friendly, calm and approachable”.
According to the police, the accused was absconding till late Wednesday night.
