Damian Ferguson, also known as Luke Ferguson, was taken into custody by the Georgia state SWAT team without incident, officials said.

In a tweet, the GBI said, Damien Ferguson was “wanted in connection with the shooting death of Alamo PD Officer Dylan Harrison”.
According to the Georgia Department of Public Security, Ferguson was apprehended less than 1 mile from where Alamo police officer Dylan Harrison was killed.
A search was previously underway for Ferguson and officers issued a $17,500 reward for information leading to the arrest.
During the search, law enforcement issued a blue alert because of Ferguson’s threat to the public.
Officer Dylan Harrison, 26, was married and father of a 6-month-old child. He was shot while working his first shift as an officer in the department.

Harrison was shot dead outside the police station at around 1 pm.
The shooting occurred in Wheeler County, about 90 miles southeast of Macon and about 124 miles west of Savannah.
Several local and state law enforcement agencies cooperated with the investigation.
According to the GBI, Officer Harrison was also a full-time task force agent with the Oconee Drug Task Force at Eastman, in addition to being a part-time Alamo Police Department officer. He has been in law enforcement since 2018.
