A Manchester City fan is fighting for his life after a ‘cowardly’ attack by Club Brugge fans following Tuesday night’s Champions League match.

A 63-year-old Belgian, who is part of a group of City supporters called Blue Moon Belgium, was attacked at a service station when he suffered a 5–1 defeat by the English side at the Jan Bredel Stadium in Bruges. .

According to his son Jurgen, the scarf of the fan, locally named Guido, was torn from his neck and he suffered a ‘heavy blow to the head’ when he went to pick it up.
