The NYPD was looking for two suspects who stabbed a man on East 42nd Street in midtown Manhattan.


The attack took place between Madison and Fifth Avenues at 2 a.m. Monday.

It was not clear what caused the stabbing. Police were probing the possibility that the stabbing was over a robbery or some kind of dispute.

The 27-year-old had sustained injuries on his stomach and hand. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
