during italian rock band Great performance by ‘Supermodel’ Bassist Victoria D’Angelis’ top fell, leaving her breasts fully exposed and MTV censors awkwardly clipping empty seats for about 40 seconds.
Meanwhile, lead singer Damiano David caressed his chest – as well as his buns – without moving the leather slippers. “I didn’t wear a shirt, so it’s a bit out of date that showing a woman’s nipples should be different from showing a man’s,” he told The Post.
Still, Menschino is hoping no more frequent wardrobe malfunctions when he takes the stage on Central Park’s Great Lawn at the annual Global Citizen Festival on Saturday. The international sensation would indeed put “Global” in a heavyweight lineup that also includes Metallica, Mariah Carey, Mickey Guyton, the Jonas Brothers and Charlie Puth.
It is the latest high-profile appearance for the glam rockers, who have gained worldwide fame since winning Eurovision in 2021 with their tune “Zitti a Buoni”. In fact, Menskin – rounded up by guitarist Thomas Raggi and drummer Ethan Torchio – is bringing back rock with bangers like “I want to be your slave” Which won him the Best Alternative award at the VMAs.

“Music moves in cycles, so it’s normal for things to disappear for a while and then get stronger,” said David, 23. “We decided to go to The Rock because it’s really what we like to do. It’s so authentic and it’s easy on us. It’s in our DNA.”
David, D’Angelis and Raggi all met as high school students in Rome, before forming Monescino in 2016, Torchio hailing from nearby Frosinone. They performed as street buskers in Rome before finishing second. “X Factor Italia” in 2017.
Apart from her experience at the VMAs, De Angelis had no problem being the only girl in the group. “I feel treated equally, as it should be,” she said. “I don’t see any difference because of my gender, so it’s all good. We’re like family
In fact, it was the bassist who came up with the name of his band. “We were supposed to sign on to this music competition, but we didn’t have a name yet,” said 22-year-old De Angelis. “So we didn’t have time to think of a proper name. So I said some random words in Danish, because I’m half Danish, and we chose Menskin, which means ‘moonlight’, but [that] Has nothing to do with anything. â€
Still, the stars are definitely aligning for Menschino these days. While in New York for the Global Citizen Festival, they’re hoping to do some vintage shopping and maybe see the San Gennaro Fiesta in Little Italy. And they already have a favorite Italian restaurant in the Big Apple: Emilio’s Ballato at Nolita.Â
And the Rome-based rockers will be practicing their English, which is constantly improving. “Having the opportunity to spend a little more time here in America has helped,” David said.
“We spent a few months in LA, and it’s about this fake stardom system and lifestyle that a lot of people have. [there]De Angelis said.
“We just noticed and met a lot of people who were really just concerned with how they looked or were in the right places, at the right parties, celebrities or things like that. are in between. We found it funny
