MANHUNT viewers were left sick as the twisted assailant subjected a male victim to a harsh ordeal last night.
The ITV drama — which first premiered in 2019 and tells the true story of the capture of killer Levi Belfield — returned to our screens on Monday night for a second series.
This time DCI Colin Sutton (Martin Clunes) is trying to catch a notorious thief and rapist in South London (Delroy Grant).
The second episode of the four-part series saw Sutton receive a call from a colleague about another break-in.
When he reached the spot, he spoke to a man who said that someone had entered his house and demanded money from him.
He told that when he opened his wallet, the attacker saw his bank card and asked for his PIN.
The victim cleverly gave the wrong code to withdraw the money.
He also told the Detective Chief Inspector that he had come to his house for the second time.
While they were talking, Sutton soon realized that something else had happened.
Sutton asked: “When you gave him the pin he didn’t go, did he?”
The man replied: “I don’t want to talk about it.”
Sutton told the man that when he wanted to speak about what happened, his colleague Patricia would be there to listen.
Later in the episode it was confirmed that the perpetrator had made love to his genitals and forced the man to touch his genitals.
Many shared their displeasure on Twitter.
One wrote: “This boy was a sick and deformed man.”
Another said: “It’s pretty well dramatized but it’s annoying stuff. That someone can prey on defenseless pensioners makes me sick to my stomach. Evil b*****d.”
A third said: “The perpetrator adored his genitals and after threats of violence forced her to touch his genitals. Now attacking men.”
A fourth shouted: “Poor man, sad.”
The search continues tonight at 9 PM on ITV
