‘Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land’ was released in June with a deluxe edition in the works.
Marina has revealed that she has started writing her sixth album, despite “Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land” only releasing in June.

going to instagram, Marina said: “Looking forward to the next tour … and doing some research. I was thinking about how much music + engagement with like-minded audiences has healed me over the years . Thanks for being there. Excited for the next chapter. I’m writing album 6.”
Marina also teased a deluxe version of “Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land” before tagging co-producer James Flanigan, writing on an Instagram story: “This deluxe record will not record itself”.

Marina has also announced UK and European tour details for next year in support of Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land.
talking to Granthshala Earlier this year, Marina spoke of dropping ‘And the Diamonds’ from her stage name. “[I felt] so stuck and awkwardly locked in, like, smiley, happy personality [where I] I couldn’t show any other side of me”.
“It’s so frustrating for anyone not to feel integrated — like your public self and your personal self are so different,” she said. “And I spent many years feeling that way. So I just decided I had to make some changes. I thought: ‘Whatever is going to make me feel more authentic and more relaxed is a positive thing.’ And I knew the name was part of that.
She also revealed details of a horrific recording session she had with TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek and super-producer Benny Blanco a decade ago. “The tension was so high that I actually cried. After five hours, I had written a line.”
“On paper it was like: ‘Oh, interesting, this might be a really cool collaboration. But really, I don’t know what it was. I liked both of those guys; I’m still in touch with Benny’ It wasn’t anything personal – it just didn’t work.
