“Mean Girls” star Lacey Chabert announced the death of her sister Wendy on Instagram on Tuesday.

Chabert shared a photo of a young Wendy with the news.


“My beautiful sister, Wendy. Our hearts are shattered into a million pieces, I don’t know how we’ll be back together again when you’re gone,” Chabert wrote, “We love and adore you more than we can say and we will continue to do so forever and ever and ever.”

“The amazing loss has left us so heartbroken. Without my dear sister our lives will never be the same, but we cling to Jesus’ promises that we will be together again for eternity. Please bless our family.” Keep her, especially her two boys, in your hearts and prayers. Thank you very much.”

The Hallmark Channel, on which Chabert stars, expressed condolences in the comments.

“We are very sorry for your loss,” Chanel wrote. “Sending my love and strength to you and your family during this time.”

Chabert did not include any details of Wendy's death in the post.

Co-star Candace Cameron Bure also shared a love for Chabert.

“Lassie[sic]We are praying for you, your family and Wendy’s family.”

Chabert did not provide any information about Wendy’s death in the Post.

Earlier this year, the actress honored Wendy along with her other sister, Chrissy, in a #NationalSistersDay post.
