This marks Sussex’s first exclusive interview after 2019

Meghan and Harry last gave an exclusive interview in 2019. He allowed his friend, journalist Tom Bradby, to visit him during his royal tour of South Africa. It became an ITV documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey. At the time, Sussex had not yet announced his plans to step down as senior royals. It will not come until January 2020.

When Meghan and Harry spoke with Bradby, they were in the dazzle of the royal spotlight. Meghan, often the target of racist remarks, told Brady that she was not well and that it was particularly difficult to deal with as a new mother.

She Later shared in a 2020 podcast interview, she is “exhausted” from the royal tour and is looking after her and Harry’s son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. I “just honestly responded,” she said.

For Harry, he spoke with Brady about the rumor between him and his elder brother, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. The 36-year-old, also recounting traumatic memories of his late mother, Princess Diana, says he “floods back” each time he hears a click on the camera.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ‘won’t make any waves’ in interview

It is unclear whether Harry and Meghan discussed Winfrey’s interview with Queen Elizabeth II before agreeing with anyone else in the royal family. Now that they are not senior members of the “firm”, Meghan and Harry do not have to technically tell the royal family what and when they are doing. According to former Palace spokesperson, Dicky Arbiter, sitting with Winfrey will not be filled with shocking comments from the couple.

“Meghan is very smart and I suspect it’s more about conveying to them what’s ahead for them and what they’re going to do in LA,” Arbiter explained Vanity Fair In February 2021. “Harry and Meghan are not going to make any waves, it’s not worth bothering the apple cart.”

However, Harry and Meghan are close with Winfrey. They are neighbors and friends in California. In addition, Harry and Meghan are asked to spend 90 minutes in the interview.
