When I Want To Dance With Somebody came out, Leveling Up secretary and Tom Tugendhat didn’t hold back.
Michael Gove was caught on camera dancing with fellow Tory MP Tom Tugendhat at a Conservative Party convention on Tuesday night.
Parading Whitney Houston’s classic from the ’80s, ‘I Want to Dance With Somebody’, the leveling up, housing and community secretary is swung by Tungendhat, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee.
In the 34-second clip, the pair ignore the cameras and the crowd and are seen having the best of time on the dance floor.
This isn’t the first time Gove has been caught busting a move recently.
In August, he was filmed inadvertently dancing in his suit at an Aberdeen nightclub.
According to reports, he tried to dodge the £5 entry fee by telling security before the cabinet reshuffle he was chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, although his friends have denied such a claim.
Gove didn’t hesitate to ridicule herself at the Tory party convention of the week as she began her speech by playing ABBA’s ‘dancing queen’.
He said to the crowd: “Dance as if no one is watching, they say, well I did, but they were watching!”
He compared the convention to a nightclub, joking: “Here we are – bright lights – great atmosphere – enthusiastic youth. It reminds me of my last night in the city of Aberdeen.”
