County Prosecutor Mark Kest asked the judge to deny Mr Crumbley’s bail, saying he “didn’t have the words to describe how appalling the shooting was”.

Judge Karniak agreed, ordered that the teenager be held without bail and transferred from a juvenile detention center to the Oakland County Jail. His parents also attended the hearing, but they did not say anything.

Four students were killed and several others were injured in the massacre on Tuesday. Police say Mr. Crumbley used a semi-automatic pistol that his father had bought for him four days earlier.

Mr. Crumbley, who is being charged as an adult, faces one count of terrorism causing death, four counts of first degree murder, seven counts of assault with intent to murder, and possession of a firearm while committing a crime. of 12 cases. Taken together, he could face a life sentence in prison.

Mr Crumbley’s lawyer Scott Kozak did not oppose the judge’s bail order, but objected to the prison transfer, saying: “These are all charges and they have [pled] not guilty.”

Judge Karniak said Mr Crumble, who is under observation of suicide, would be kept in isolation and would not be in contact with any other inmate.

County Sheriff’s Department Lieutenant Tim Willis told Judge Karniak that Mr Crumbley had “talked about shooting and killing students the next day” on the night before the massacre.

He said the sheriff had confiscated Mr. Crumble’s mobile phone through a search warrant and found a video made on Monday night in which he talked about his plans.
