According to reports, a Mississippi sheriff’s deputy is in critical condition after being involved in Monday’s shooting incident.

Hancock Sheriff’s deputy was being airlifted to University Medical Center in New Orleans as he was shot and wounded near Killeen, Miss. – which is located near the southeastern border with Louisiana .

One suspect was shot and admitted to a hospital.

Officials said the deputy was shooting when he was in the north 20 months after being shot at the location.
