Molly-Mae Hague hit back at the controversial 9/11 photo of PrettyLittleThing she received over the weekend with a subtle post on her Instagram Story.
The 22-year-old star has yet to address the uproar that ensued when the fashion company posted a “branded” tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack on its 20th anniversary.
But taking to her Instagram Story today, Molly appeared to shrug off the criticism as she reinvigorated a positive message by redecorating her office area.
The influencer posted a video as he took the prints off his gallery wall and replaced them with brand new artwork, one that aptly read: “good vibes only.”
The timely message reveals why she chooses to focus on the positive rather than responding to negative comments from critics.
Molly, who was recently appointed creative director of fashion house PrettyLittleThing, was accused on Saturday of “slapping her brand on a tragedy”.
The Love Island star and PLT sparked outrage after sharing a picture of the Twin Towers on their social media accounts with the words “Never Forget” in pink and “09.11.01” in white.
The move was dubbed “absolutely shocking” and “distasteful” by fearful followers, while one fan asked: “Did you guys even discuss this?
“It’s so easy to understand why you should have left 9/11 alone. Zero relevance to your brand.”
Molly overlooks this fallout by unplugging from social media and camping in the Lake District with boyfriend Tommy Fury and her sister Zoe.
Upon her return, she has still chosen not to respond to critics, and was seen saving her face when she was spotted in and around Manchester yesterday.
