On October 18, Starship Entertainment announced that the six-member group was gearing up for their next release, which is slated to release next month.
A representative of the agency told a South Korean news outlet newzen that “MONSTA X is preparing to return home at the end of November”. More details are expected to emerge in the coming weeks.
The news comes just a month after MONSTA X released its English-language single ‘One Day’. “Our Korean albums are very energetic and powerful, and [so ‘One Day’] MONSTA shows a different side to X,” rapper IM said in an interview Granthshala.
Additionally, the as-yet-unknown project will be the act’s first homecoming since the release of their ninth album One of a Kind in June. In a four-star review of the release, GranthshalaRuby C wrote that its lead single, “Gambler”, was “a catchy and fun song without adulteration”.
Meanwhile, MONSTA X has been announced to join the lineup for iHeartRadio’s annual Jingle Ball Tour for four stops this year – Philadelphia on December 13, Washington, DC on December 14, Atlanta on December 16 and Miami. The ten-date tour will also feature appearances from artists such as Doja Cat and the Jonas Brothers.
In July, Shonu, the leader of MONSTA X, enlisted in the military to complete his mandatory service. Murthy is currently serving as a public service activist, and will likely not feature in the group’s upcoming releases.
