Haliburton, Ont. – Much of the country is waking up to “more of the same” Tuesday morning after another Liberal minority government was re-elected in Canada’s 2021 federal election.
After five weeks of campaigning during a pandemic, and mail-in ballots were yet to be counted, the Liberals managed to hold on to power, despite falling short of a majority.
“You’re sending us back to work with a clear mandate to get through this pandemic and make the days ahead,” Trudeau said after his election victory Tuesday morning.
