Wayne and Garth introduce Cardi B after using celebrities in commercials
Cardi B joined another army with Mike Myers and Dana Caraway Wayne’s World-Theme Uber Eats Advertising.
Released today (February 4), the ad featured Myers and Carve re-enacting their roles as Wayne Campbell and Garth Elgar, becoming popular in the 1992 film Wayne’s World.
In a callback to the film’s fourth-wall-breaking comedy genre, the pair introduces Cardi, who is used to celebrities in commercials.
“Eat local,” the rapper says upon entering the frame. She Later both Wayne and Garth appear dressed in costumes.
Many features of Wayne’s World ‘Calling cards including Wayne’s signature white Fender Stratocaster, a thin veil satire and the husky theme song of the show-in-the-show.
Cardi B joins Myers and Elgar to sing the theme song, with the song celebrating the “local eats” and “delicious” festivities. Watch the clip below:
Myers and Carvey appeared in another Uber Eats ad, which premiered earlier this week.
In it, Wayne and Garth tease that they will watch the audience at the Super Bowl, referring to the sporting event as “sports” and “big bowl” so as to avoid copyright infringement.
The success of the first commercial prompted Myers and Carve to release a lengthy video in which they thanked all local American restaurants available on Uber Eats.
The video runs for more than two and a half hours and features a guest appearance by Alice Cooper, who makes a cameo in the first Wayne’s World movie.
Cardi B plans to drop her new single ‘UP’, tomorrow (5 February). The track will be the first of the year and will be in collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, ‘WAP’.
NME Named his number one song of 2020, ‘WAP’, calling it a “year-round Titan track.”
Last month, Cardi B reported that it cost $ 1 million (£ 732,000) to shoot the music video for ‘WAP’. The clip features Megan the Stallion and Cardi B in Kylie Jenner and Normany’s mansion.
