Oleksandr Usik has intensified his war of words with heavyweight rival Tyson Fury, claiming that only the WBC champion sees himself as the ‘king’.
Fury – nicknamed The Gypsy King – defended his WBC crown by defeating Deontay Wilder in a thrilling eleven-round contest in Las Vegas earlier this month.
The 33-year-old is expected to overtake mandatory challenger Dillian White, before setting his sights on a unification bout against the winner of Usik’s rematch with Anthony Joshua.

Joshua is expected to have won the WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF titles at Tottenham last month.
While there has been a little back-and-forth between Usyk and Fury, the former cruiserweight champion has taken aim at the Gypsy King, insisting he can beat the undefeated 6ft9ins giant.
Asked if he can watch a fight with Fury later on, Usik said Sun: ‘Yes, of course, I consider this fight a great one. I see him as a very good fighter, a good athlete, he talks a lot, he has a good tongue.

Usyk says that only Fury ‘claims he is the king of kings’ while taking a dig at the undefeated Briton.
‘He claims that he is the king of kings, but it is only he who thinks so. That’s all I can say about him.
Although Usyak demonstrated against Joshua that he is the most technical boxer in the heavyweight division, many fans and pundits place Fury as their favorite to win and win all belts.
Yet the cat warns its skeptics to write it down at their own risk.
“Before my Joshua fight everyone was saying that I didn’t get a single chance to win and defeat Joshua,” he said.
‘I used to hear things like this all my life, but I am able to beat the fury because I don’t boast that I can punish and beat every boxer in the world, but I just go to the gym and do my job .
‘I work hard, I work hard, I try my best. I am not trying to present myself as the king of the universe.

Usyk warns his skeptics that they should write at their own risk if they meet Fury in the future.
‘I do what I want to do. I concentrate and concentrate and I get the result according to my effort.’
However, Fury will present a whole new challenge to Usyak. The 33-year-old was non-committed when pressuring his views on Fury’s unpredictability.
“I cannot comment much on his style as every fighter has his own style according to his ability and his instincts.
‘So, I think the main thing is that his style makes him win.
‘That’s the main thing. Some people like it, some people don’t. But he is successful.
