The actress’ father passed away during the coronavirus pandemic
Olivia Colman paid tribute to her late father, who died during the coronavirus pandemic, in her Emmys acceptance speech.

Actress shortlisted for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II on Netflix Crown, defeating fellow nominees Emma Corinne, Elisabeth Moss, MJ Rodriguez, Uzo Aduba and Jurnee Smollett.
Receiving the award in a London studio not far from the main event in Los Angeles, Coleman became emotional during her acceptance speech.
“Thank you very much. I would have invested money if that had not happened,” said Coleman.
